100 Must Read Books

Wednesday, January 5, 2011

As part of my New Year's resolution, I vowed(?) to read more. I like reading, but with so much distraction, I don't end up finishing any book I started. I used to finish a Dan Brown novel in one day, back when I used to work on a boring job.

So I found this list of highly recommended must-read books on Facebook, on one my friend's. The note says, "Have you read more than 6 of these books? The BBC believes most people will have read only 6 of the 100 books listed here. Instructions: Copy this into your NOTES. Bold those books you've read in their entirety, italicize the ones you started but didn't finish or read an excerpt; add an asterisk if you read it out loud with or for someone."

I Googled if it was really from BBC, but didn't find any link to support the claim. But I found out that it is from an article made by the Guardian back in 2007. I don't know how did they came up with the list, seems like it is mismatched or something, but I know some titles are worth reading. From the list, I did bold those books I have read and italicized the ones I started reading but have not completed. What a shame, my list didn't even totaled a quarter out of the list. So for my quest to read more, I'm going to grow my list at least half or maybe all?
