And my love for thrifting became even bigger when I got here in US. My mother-in-law took me to her favorite thrift stores, bigger than I've ever been and more nicer stuff. In just a short time, I filled up my office with bags, housewares, clothes that are almost new and some even has tags in it. My husband would tease me sometimes saying I'm a hoarder.. lol Just imagine how much can you save with thriftin', I mean really? how could you spend three or four times the price when you get the item you want in a fraction of it? it's fashion for less. Are you thriftin?
Love for thriftin'
Monday, May 30, 2011
I started my addiction love of thrift stores way back in college. With less money on hand like any other college students, and with bunch of term papers/research, transportation/food expenses, organizations and let me add, social life and parties, I have learned how to crunch up, make ends meet budget-wise. It all started when a friend invited me to go with her, I was hesitant at first, but I'm glad I went, I end up going home with a branded bag which almost looks like new. Since then I would frequent nearby thrift stores next to my school, and went to next town and the next city and the other. My thriftin' didn't stopped there, I found some online sites who sell 2nd hand purses, pants, t-shirts, shoes, accessories, and everything you can think of.
And my love for thrifting became even bigger when I got here in US. My mother-in-law took me to her favorite thrift stores, bigger than I've ever been and more nicer stuff.
